Box

Everybody is a VIP

The VLN is one of the most spectator-friendly race events in the world. There is no entrance fee charged for watching the race around the famous and infamous Nordschleife and for only 15 € access is granted to all open grandstands on the GP circuit and the paddock. Between the qualifying session and the race even the pitlane is open to every spectator. Don't hesitate to come around and visit us in Box 5 (which we again will share with multiple VLN Overall Champions of Bonk Motorsport). You are always very welcome. Only the drivers get closer to the car.

History

The beginnings with SIMCA. The furious 1970s.

History of Nett Motorsport begins back in 1972. Founder of the company Ludwig Nett - recognized as one of the aces of the Nordschleife - drove a SIMCA 1100 Rallye.

Champions. Major success with the Peugeot 205 GTi.

In 1986 the team switched to Peugeot - and young Jürgen Nett debuted in the VLN, teaming up with father Ludwig. Only one year later the two became Overall Champions of the VLN, winning 9 of 10 races in a top-class grid - one of the most impressive performances in VLN history.

Fuchs Peugeot Team Nett. The rise of the 306.

With the Peugeot 306 - still racing nowerdays - the team won the V3 class in the 2003 edition of the 24h race at the Nurburgring. Afterwards the 306 was temporarily put out of order and the team switched to a Peugeot 206 winning the RC Cup as part of the VLN.

RCZ und 208 GTi. Factory driver Jürgen Nett.

At the begin of the current decade Jürgen Nett became a driver for the factory team of Peugeot Sport. In 2010 with the Peugeot RCZ HDi FAP followed by some more starts with the Diesel-powered Sportscarin 2011. For the 2012 season the Peugeot RCZ Team Nokia entered the VLN with the THP version of the car. "GTi is back" was the slogan in 2013: with the all new 208 Jürgen competited in both VLN and 24h Race.

"Scrap Iron". The return of the Peugeot 306 S16.

After having been away from the racetracks for a full decade the 306 was newly built up again. With a new livery the Peugeot 306 S16 made its return to the VLN. Jürgen und Achim Nett won the 2016 V3 Championship.

German-British Friendship. Debut in the TCR class.

For the 2017 season the team entered the newly created TCR class. The team became internation, as British Bradley Philpot joined the team as the third driver.

SP2T Champions. A bumpy journey finally gets rewarded.

Despite the team was able to do a couple of podium finishes in the TCR class, it said "good bye". The 2 litres powered opponents were simply out of reach. Hence, the team decided to enter the SP2T class with the 308 Racing Cup. After having struggled with a bunch of technical issues and not-at-fault accidents, the team got eventually rewarded with winning the title in the class.
